There's never a dull moment at Tekkoshocon! With anime to watch, games to play, contests and tournaments to enter, panels to visit, artists to hang out with, live events to see, and much more, you'll be busy all weekend long. Here are some of the awesome events planned for this year's Tekko. Be sure to check them out!
Anime Music Videos
Forget MTV -- Tekkoshocon AMVs are bringing you the music with fan videos set to clips of all your favorite anime! From romance to action to humor to drama, there's sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. Come watch, then grab a ballot and vote for your favorites!
This year's AMV rules will be available soon. Until they are available, the 2006 AMV Rules are available for your reference.

Artists' Alley
When you're checking out all of the great events in the ExpoMart half of the convention space, be sure to take some time and look around Artists' Alley! Talented fan artists will line the hallways selling their original pieces and, in some cases, taking commissions for sketches. Check out their amazing work and you might end up taking home a pair of cat ears, a cool t-shirt, or a new conversation piece for your bedroom wall!

Cosplay
Like to dress up? How about performing? The Tekkoshocon Cosplay gives attendees the opportunity to show off their costumes in front of an appreciative crowd for prizes and bragging rights. Non-participants are treated to an evening of hilarious skits and talented individuals sharing their costumes with the crowd. With an experienced panel of judges and an entertaining emcee, the Tekkoshocon cosplay is not to be missed!

Hall Costuming
The Tekkoshocon hall costuming contest is here for those who have worked hard on their costumes but just aren't sure about getting up in front of the crowd. Our hall photographer will be available throughout the weekend to take pictures, and participants will be judged for a chance to win prizes!

Panels and Workshops
Convention newcomers and veteran otaku alike will find something of interest at one of our panels. With a widespread variety of topics, there's a lot to learn as our friendly panelists discuss everything from voice acting to video games to cosplay to what exactly there is to do at Tekkoshocon 2006!
Workshops are similar to panels at first glance, but tend to be much more hands-on. You could find yourself painting a cel, as animation artists did prior to the advent of computerized animation, or learning about the Japanese writing systems and practicing characters under the watchful eyes of a knowledgable instructor. Come to a workshop that interests you and you're likely to walk away with a new skill to practice or some tips to try with your next costume!

Video Game Room
Game Room Information
Whether you like to get your groove on with DDR or face off against your friends with a fighting game, time flies when you're in the video game room. You'll find a lot of favorites here, along with some imported Japanese games to try your hand at. Multiple tournaments will be running throughout the weekend.

RPG / CCG
RPGs, CCGs & TCGs
Do you want to play as a character in an anime of your own? We can't quite provide that, but we will be hosting demonstrations for a number of role playing games and card games. If you would like to run an RPG or CCG (Collectible Card Game) at Tekkoshocon, please contact rpgs@tekkoshocon.com with your request. All gamers are welcome.

Do you like to build model kits and show them off to others? Why not show off your work at Tekkoshocon? Tekkoshocon will be hosting an anime modeling competition. Bring your model to the convention and you could win a prize!
