We Need Your Fanart
Tekkoshocon 2008 is coming up, and now is the time for all good artists to come to the aid of their convention! As usual, Tekkoshocon needs fanart to use in program books, on badges, and other various media. You too can help by submitting your fanart to publications@tekkoshocon.com today!
As always, submitted fanart must be 300dpi or higher (in fact, 600dpi is preferred) in resolution. Both color and black and white pictures will be accepted, though color is preferred. And finally, have fun! This is all about showcasing the creativity of our loyal con-goers!
Our theme this year is Sentai, and all is not well in Pittsburgh. Enemies have taken Pittsburgh, and this time Miyako and Hagane are not able to do it on their own. They've had to call in backup. This time, the rest of the family has come in to save the day.
Miyako Tekko
Miyako is Hagane's older sister, and she's been through thick and thin with her little brother. Clad in her pink uniform, she takes the forefront in the battles, keeping the rest of her family safe from the legions of evil.
Hagane Tekko
Hagane, the perpetual little brother, is always trying to prove himself. Clad in red, he always tries to show that he's as capable as his sister, often coming through in a pinch and saving the day when everyone least expects it.
And now for the extended family...
Al Migawa
Al Migawa, clad in green, is the largest member of the family, having grown strong from flinging produce on the Strip. He can down an entire Primanti's cheesesteak in four bites and will always win an eating contest. In spite of his size, he's uncommonly gentle, though he tends to be dense at times.
Mona Migawa
Mona Migawa is very fashion-savvy (and at times soemwhat narcissistic), as can be seen by her snappy yellow uniform. She spends most of her spare time shopping on the Waterfront, searching for the next biggest designer. Don't let her attitude fool you, though. If someone messes her hair in battle... watch your pants 'cause she's gonna go on a tear.
Oh Migawa
Oh Migawa wears a blue outfit and is the techie of the team. He can fix anything and everything, from electronics to medicine. He usually carries a big wrench on his shoulder. Although he has big brains, he's got a small body. However, that's okay 'cause it's all about teamwork, right?

Artists' Alley Rules & Registration
1. As an official Tekkoshocon convention area, everyone who enters Artists Alley must be a paid attendee of Tekkoshocon. Reserving an Artists Alley table does NOT include a convention membership; membership must be purchased separately for all members of a studio.
2. Artists are paid attendees of Tekkoshocon VI and must abide by all convention rules at all times as they are listed in the program. Programs will be available upon registration. Tekkoshocon, Inc. reserves the right to revoke an artist’s right to sell their works at, and remove the artist from, Tekkoshocon VI at any point, up to and including the convention itself, for any reason, including but not limited to, violation of one or more of the rules of Artists’ Alley or the convention itself.
3. All items sold in Artists’ Alley must be the creation of the seller, or the seller must have explicit permission from the creator to sell said items. ABSOLUTELY no illegal, licensed, or bootleg materials allowed. Anyone in violation of this policy will be removed from Artists’ Alley and Tekkoshocon VI with no refund.
4. Tekkoshocon VI is an all-ages convention attended by minors and their parents. In order to protect minors from potentially offensive content, adult works must be hidden from public view. Appropriate ID must be verified before adult works are sold or displayed. “Adult” in these cases refers to any materials that are sexually explicit, extremely graphically violent, or otherwise considered unsuitable for children. If such materials are seen out in the open, the artist will be reminded of this policy ONCE. Any artist selling inappropriate materials to minors will be removed from the convention immediately with no monetary compensation.
5. Artists’ Alley tables are assigned by the Artists’ Alley staff before the convention. All artists must check in with the Artists’ Alley department head before heading to their table. Do not use a table that was not assigned to you by Artists’ Alley staff. Anyone who has set up at a table that is not assigned to them will be escorted to the appropriate table, regardless of the extent of their set-up. Any special requests MUST be handled before the convention.
6. Each table will be supplied with two chairs. Extra chairs may be available pending hotel supply. Do not remove chairs from other artists’ tables.
7. Any disputes that may arise between artists must be taken to Artists’ Alley staff. Failure to treat other artists with respect may result with your removal from Artists’ Alley and depending on circumstances, Tekkoshocon VI.
8. For artists requiring electricity, only ONE plug in one wall outlet may be used per table. Tekkoshocon Inc. will not supply extension cords or power strips. Please plan accordingly.
9. Artists’ tables must be attended at all times during the hours Artists Alley is open. Tekkoshocon, Inc is not responsible for theft, loss, or damages.
10. Artists are responsible for clearing their table and area of all personal belongings and any garbage that accumulated from their stay at the close of the convention on Sunday.
